Dorothy Helen Mynster

Mrs. Dorothy Helen Mynster, 78, of Clarksville, VA passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Chase City, VA. Mrs. Mynster was born in Norfolk, VA December 10, 1939 to the late John Clifton and Lillian Mae Roberson Marshall. She was a graduate of Princess Anne High School in Norfolk, VA, and a retired employee of Harris Office Supply also in Norfolk, VA. Mrs. Mynsters’ favorite pastime was walking in Clarksville, listening to music, and raising rescued animals. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mynster was preceded in death by her husband, James David Mynster; a sister, Jackie Phillips and her husband Phil, and a brother-in-law, Kay Valentine. Mrs. Mynster is survived by a son, Dano Grimes and a daughter, Kimberly Marshall both of Chesapeake, VA; two grandchildren, Andrew Gaskins and wife, Shayna, and Anna Strenger and husband, Chris; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Sarah and Rylie Gaskins; her sister, Peggy Valentine of South Boston, VA who was also her best friend; brother, Charles Marshall and wife, Diana of Naples, FL, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
