Dorothy Ann Francis

Mrs. Dorothy A. Francis, 66, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Francis was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 12, 1949 to the late Floyd C. and Ida Mae Hardy McClure. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and Technical College in New York. Mrs. Francis was a computer Technician at Cigna Coins. She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA, and her hobbies included video games, cards, cooking and facebook. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Francis was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Petton, her second husband, Noel Francis; three brothers, Robert Floyd McClure, Clinton Bullock, and Willie Earl Bullock and one sister, Betty Bullock. Cherishing her memories are four brothers, Clarence McClure (Juanita), John and Harold McClure all of Skipwith, VA and Tyree Bullock of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Linda McClure of Charlotte, NC and Geraldine Bullock and Margaret Alexander both of Richmond, VA; one aunt, Annie Barnes of Skipwith, VA; two sisters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy A. Francis will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Servies 2:00 P.M.
