Mrs. Doris Loraine Coleman, 71, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.


Mrs. Coleman was born in Chase City, VA on January 11, 1951 to the late Inez Staten and Chambers Roberts. She started her early education in the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and later relocated to Maryland and attended Mary McCloud Bethune. She would return to Mecklenburg to complete her education. Mrs. Coleman was a previous member of Power of Faith Christian Church, and Enter City Outreach Ministry where she was ordained as a Minister on June 10, 2007. She was a longtime faithful member of Amazing Bibleway Church in Buffalo Junction, VA. Mrs. Coleman worked as a licensed CNA for numerous hospitals, nursing homes, and private care in MD, VA and in NC. She also worked many years at Research Center Triangle Park in Maryland.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her step-father, George Staten; brothers, Stoney, Billy, Peewee, Skidder, Danny, Pokey, and Tony, and one sister, Esther.


She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 54 years, Arthur Coleman, and her son, Wayne Coleman both of Buffalo Junction, VA; two sisters, Mary Darden (Charlie) of Clarksville, VA and Joyce Johnson (Alvin) of Annapolis, MD; brothers-in-law, Robert Coleman, Larry Coleman and James Coleman; sisters-in-law, Regina Roberts, Cheryl Roberts, Patricia Coleman and Cheryl Coleman; her forever daughter, Kim Carson, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris Loraine Coleman will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Amazing Bibleway Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Bishop Ray T. Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.


Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
