Dinese Elizabeth Smith

Ms. Dinese Elizabeth Wilson Smith, 65, of Drakes Branch, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at VCU/MCV Hospitals, Richmond, VA. Ms. Smith was born in Mecklenburg County, VA November 27, 1952 to the late Wesley and Thelma McPleasant Wilson. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA where she sang in the choir. Ms. Smith was a former seamstress at Service Solutions. In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Wilson. Cherishing her memories are one son, Miles Smith (Shelyne); three daughters, Carol Wilson (Lavert), Monica Smith (Lamont) and Levern Smith; her niece she raised as her daughter, Pamela McPleasant; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Diane Evans, Joyce Wilson, Clara Wilson, Alice Simmons (Sylvester), Phyllis Parham, Patricia Wilson and Betty Lindsey (James); four brothers, Wade Wilson, Joe McPleasant, Robert McPleasant and Allen Wilson; six aunts, Mary Toombs, Margie Royster, Alice Brogdon, Barbara Staten (James), Ruth Dailey and Betty Mosley; a devoted friend, John Hicks, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Dinese Elizabeth Wilson Smith will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. James Lindsey officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City VA.
