Mrs. Denise Evette Hardy Boyd, 51, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Boyd was born in Chase City, VA on September 10, 1970 to the late Henry and Arlene Hardy. At an early age, she joined Berean Baptist Church in Chase City. Mrs. Boyd was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, and was formerly employed by Chase City Health and Rehab Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and her pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kenya S. Hardy, and her grandparents, Charlie R. and Berdie M. Baskerville. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Alfred Boyd, Jr., daughter, Taniesha W. Watson (Quinton) and son, Devonte Hardy all of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren, Ayane Jennings, Amarion Watson and Aniya Watson; sister, Angela Hardy (Ron Harris) of Chase City, VA; four aunts, Jo-Ann H. Bagley of Richmond, VA, Annella H. Powell, Nancy R. Archie (Frank), and Cora H. Pettus all of Chase City, VA; uncle, Frank Baskerville of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Denise Evette Hardy Boyd will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 14, 2022 at Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris officiating. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 6 P.M. Mask are required to be worn for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
