Ms. Delores Barnes Epps, 67, of Red Oak, Virginia entered eternal rest Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Epps was born November 18, 1940 to the late Patrick and Arlene Haskins Barnes. She was a 1956 graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA. She was employed by Craddock-Terry Shoe Factory for 19 years until leaving to care for her mother. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA where she was a faithful member of the missionary circle.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Epps, and one nephew, Joey Barnes.Cherishing her memories are six children, Theresa Barnes (Charles) of Norcross, GA, Cynthia Martin (Rev. Michael) of Farmville, VA, James Epps Sr. of Queens, NY, Michael Epps of Red Oak, VA, Tony Epps (Louise) of Buffalo Junction, VA and Angela McCargo of Norcross, GA; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Barnes of Bronx, NY and Robert Barnes (Barbara) of Darlington Heights, VA; one sister, Mary Goode (Harry) of Chase City, VA; three nieces, Bonita Goode, Peaches Barnes and Lori Barnes and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funerals Services for Ms. Delores B. Epps will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Prophet Harry L. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
