Mrs. Deborah Pearl Harper Crowder, 54, of Chase City, Virginia entered into eternal rest  Friday, September 5, 2008 in Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.   Mrs. Crowder was born in Mecklenburg County on September 18, 1953 to Deacon Albert and Mary O. Harper. She was educated in the Mecklenburg County Public Schools and the Bergen Technical School in New Jersey.   She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church Chase City, VA.  She worked many years at Burlington Industries of Clarksville, VA, and was currently employed by the Mecklenburg Treasurer’s Office in Boydton, VA.   Cherishing her memories are her husband, Deacon Warren G. Crowder, two children: Wartena and Delron Crowder all of Chase City, VA; her parents, Deacon Albert and Mary Harper of Chase City, VA; one brother, Thomas Harper (Tara) of Hurdle Mills, NC; one grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Oliver of South Hill, VA; five uncles, three aunts, mother and father-in-law Deacon Roosevelt and Easter Crowder of Kenbridge, VA; four sisters-in-law, Tara Harper of Hurdle Mills, NC; Rev. Patricia Barnette of Victoria, VA, Nicole Crowder of Stafford, VA, Janet Crowder of Eagan, Minnesota; two brothers-in-law, Horace and Freddie Crowder; seven nieces, seven nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.    Funeral services for Mrs. Deborah Pearl Harper Crowder will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 8, 2008 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. E. Douglas Reams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
