Debbie Jean Harris

Mrs. Debbie Jean Harris, 49, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, April 23 2015 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mrs. Harris was born in Mecklenburg County, VA December 25, 1965 to the late Charlie Lee Towler Jr. and Obie Sue McBee Watson. She received her education in Mecklenburg County Public schools; at an early age she was baptized at Saint Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA and later joined Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. She was employed by Team Nurse for 10 years. In addition to her father, Charlie Lee Towler, Jr., Debbie was preceded in death by her step-father, Johnny Watson, and a sister, Bertha Marie Skipwith. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Edward Lee Harris, Sr. of Red Oak, VA; three children, Edward Lee Harris Jr., Tyrone Lamont Harris and Devontate Lamar Harris all of Clarksville, VA; three grandchildren; her mother, Obie Sue McBee Watson; two brothers, Charlie Lee Towler III (Emma)  of Fort Wainwright, AK and Travis O’Brien Watson (Stephanie) of Clarksville, VA; two sisters, JoAnn Towler of Henderson, NC and Yvonne Pettus (Glen) of Chase  City, VA; mother-in-law  and father-in-law, Willie and Annie Harris; four brothers-in-law, William James Harris, Melvin Harris, Willie Harris and Barry Skipwith; one sister-in-law, Elaine Harris and Terrell Freeman, whom she treated as a son and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Debbie Jean Harris will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA with Minister Tyrese Skipwith delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
