Deacon Thomas Miller, Jr.

Deacon Thomas Miller, Jr., 66, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at his residence. Deacon Miller was born in Henrico, NC to the late Thomas, Sr. and Cleonia Sykes Miller. He attended the schools of Northampton County, NC, and at an early age, he joined Patillo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Henrico, NC where he served as a Deacon. He entered the workforce at an early age, working for James River Paper Company in the 1980’s. Deacon Miller was currently employed by Nipro Glass Americas with 22 years of service, and C. H. Harris Funeral Home in Clarksville with over 22 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he loved cutting grass, driving his Chevrolet truck, and reading his bible daily. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Alphonso and Hazel Harris Sykes, and paternal grandparents, Henry and Maggie Underdew Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ann E. Garnett Miller; son, Timothy Alphonso Miller, wife Jenniffer; stepson, Stanley; two granddaughters, Chloe and Melanie Miller; his siblings, Deacon James Miller and wife, Phyllis, Maggie Miller Brinkley and husband, Joseph, and Jacqueline Miller Jones and husband, Deacon Johnnie, four aunts, two uncles, numerous devoted first cousins, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Deacon Thomas Miller, Jr. will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Patillo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 3119 River Rd Henrico, NC 27842 with Reverend Joshua L. Pair delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at C. H. Harris Funeral Home Clarksville, VA. A mask is required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
