Mr. Darryl Wiley, 59 of South Hill, VA (Union Level Community) entered eternal rest Thursday, April 12, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Wiley was born in Newark, NJ March 6, 1948 to Edith Jackson and the late Rollie Clemmons. He was educated in the Newark, NJ public school system, and was and Army Veteran; having served in Vietnam. He worked for over 30 years for New Jersey Transit, serving many years as a Claims Investigator before retiring in 1996 due to ill health. Mr. Wiley was preceded in death by his father, Rollie Clemmons, his step-father John McKinnon, two sisters, Marlene DeGraffenreid and Carol Matthews, and a brother Tyrone Wiley. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Faye Gardner-Wiley of South Hill, VA; two sons, Darryl Wiley (Lenita) of Pittsburgh, PA and Jeffrey Wiley (Naila White) of Butner, NC; three grandsons, Neil Martin and Niko Wiley of Pittsburgh, PA and Jamir Wiley of Butner, NC; two granddaughters, Kamili Wiley of Pittsburgh, PA and Talia White of Butner, NC; his mother, Edith McKinnon of Newark, NJ; two brothers, Thomas Wiley (Earlene) of Newark, NJ and Gerald Wiley of Fredericksburg, VA; four sisters, Joyce Baker of Newark, NJ, Yvonne Moore (Donald) of East Stroudsburg, PA, Denise Grissette (Jerry) of Adelphi, MD and Laverne Sly (Fred) of Newark, NJ and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Darryl Wiley will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2007 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. His remains will be forwarded to Churchman Funeral Home, Newark, NJ for burial. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St., Chase City, VA.
