Darrel Andre Coaxum

Mr. Darrel Andre Coaxum, 59, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Coaxum, affectionately known to many as "Laz", was born in Yonkers, NY on June 21, 1960 to Herman and the late Virginia Coaxum. He was a graduate of Gorton High School in Westchester, NY, and enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, cooking, dancing, and watching his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Mr. Coaxum was preceded in death by one sister, Michelle Coaxum. Cherishing his memories are one son, Devon Mosley of Chase City, VA; four daughters, Latashae and Diamon Mosley both of Augusta, GA, Latoya Oliver-Powell of Laurel, MD and Kaitlyn Mosley of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren; his father, Herman Coaxum; three brothers, Jeffrey Coaxum and Reginald Coaxum both of Yonkers, NY and Herman Coaxum of Danville, VA; one sister, Monique Coaxum of Chase City, VA; his devoted friend, Debby Mosley of Chase City, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Darrel Andre Coaxum will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Steven Odemns and Rev. Patricia Liggon conducting the service. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
