Miss. Darlene Karen Harrison of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. Miss Harrison was born in Newark, New Jersey July 17, 1959 to the late William and Evangeline Gooch Harrison. She was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and Virginia Union University, Richmond, VA. She was a member of the Zeta Phi Beta sorority. Miss Harrison was a correctional officer employed by the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation, Crewe, VA. In addition to her parents, Miss Harrison was preceded in death by one brother. Cherishing her memories are one brother, Bradley Foster of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Diane F. Pinckney (James) of Chase City, VA and Shelvy L. Foster of Bloomfield, NJ, nieces and nephews, Cindy and Michael Foster, Rayven, Demtri , and Chelsie Pinckney, Emya Terry and Eliyana Robertson and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Harrison will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Saint Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Charles Allen delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
