Daniel Watson

Mr. Daniel Watson, 75, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at VCU/MCV Hospitals, Richmond, VA. Mr. Watson was born in Red Oak, VA on September 20, 1941 to the late John and Parthenia Toombs Watson. He attended the public schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. Mr. Watson was a former employee of Irby Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Walker Watson. Cherishing his memories are three sons, Daniel Fields (Doris) of Brooklyn, NY, Leon E. Fields (Deborah) of South Boston, VA and Donnell Watson of Pittsylvania County, VA; one step-son, Robert Walker; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mattie Belle of North Carolina, Millie McCrae (Rev. Curtis) of Bullock, NC and Laura Watson of Red Oak, VA; two brothers, Clem Watson of New Jersey and John Watson, Jr. of Red Oak, VA; two devoted aunts, Hattie McCargo and Elvira Boyd of Red Oak, VA; devoted friend, Bettie Mosley and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Watson will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Roger Allen, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
