Daniel Roscoe Nelson

Mr. Daniel Roscoe Nelson, 81, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Friday, December 15, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Nelson was born in Charlotte Court House, VA October 20, 1925 to the late Paul and Anna Harvey Nelson. He was a retired employee of Romeo Gust Construction Co. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Nelson, one son, Will Stanley Nelson, five brothers and three sisters. Cherishing his memories are five children, Helen Johnson of Alexandria, VA, Daniel Nelson and Ronnie Nelson both of Clarksville, VA, Marshall Nelson of Leesburg, VA and Gilbert Nelson of Richmond, VA; 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, four daughters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Roscoe Nelson will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA with Brother Alexander Gillis, officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 4th Street, Clarksville, VA.
