Curtis Thomas Boyd

Mr. Curtis Thomas Boyd, 64, of Chase City, VA departed this life on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC. Mr. Boyd was born in Charlotte County, VA October 14, 1956 to Thomas and the late LaVerne Robertson Boyd. He was a graduate of Randolph Henry Senior High School, Charlotte Court House, VA and a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA. Mr. Boyd was formerly employed by J.P. Stevens and Burlington Industries. He was a Redskins fan, whether they won or lost. In addition to his mother, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathryn Boyd and Janice L. Boyd. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his father, Thomas Boyd; sisters, Christine Jackson (James) of Chase City, VA, Carol Boyd of Paterson, NJ and Madeline Boyd-Moamin; a brother, Steven Boyd of Paterson, NJ; cousins that were raised as brothers, James Boyd and Nat, Jr. both of Chase City, VA, Mataw Boyd of District Heights, MD, and Nathaniel Boyd of Alexandria, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA (seating will be limited) with Rev. Marvin Harris delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
