Curtis Lee Jones, Sr.

Mr. Curtis Lee Jones, 84, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.

Mr. Jones was born in Snow Hill, NC on February 3, 1939 to the late Jarvis Jake and Lula Belle Jones. He attended the schools of Green County, NC and was a member of Silone Baptist Church in Chase City, VA. In his spare time Curtis enjoyed drinking his favorite spirits, talking trash to his friends, and watching old western movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and one brother.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Kathy Jones of Chase City, VA; two daughters, Cybil Brown of Landover, MD and Patricia Darden ( Anthony) of Snow Hill, NC; two sons, Kenneth Jones (Tanya) of South Hill, VA and Curtis Jones Jr. of Snow Hill, NC; 12 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Addie C. Holmes (Walter) of Queens, NY and Betty Jones of New Jersey; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Lee Jones will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing will begin Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
