Miss Crystal Michelle Redd, 31, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her residence. Miss Redd was born May 17, 1982 in Halifax County, VA to George and Maxine Wood Redd.  She graduated from Randolph Henry High School in 2000, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA where she sang in the choir.  Crystal was the lead singer of the gospel group, “Sisters of Faith”.  She was formerly employed by Alcan Packaging, Chase City, Va. She was preceded in death by one sister, Tabitha L. Redd. Cherishing her memories are one son, Christopher N. Redd; one daughter, TaMyra L. Redd;  her parents, George and Maxine Redd; her siblings, George Wood (Yolanda), Orenzo Redd ,Demitrus Staten, Shavon Redd, Maxine Redd, Evelyn Fields (James) and Latasha Staten; six aunts; eight uncles; a special aunt and Godmother, Hazel Redd; fifteen nieces and nephews; devoted friend, Cheryl Simmons; friend, Nate Boyd and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Crystal Michelle Redd will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church,  Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday, from 3 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.     Service 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 7, 2013 First Baptist Church  Wylliesburg, VA Interment Church Cemetery Public Viewing Thursday, 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
