Creola Mae Tucker

Ms. Creola Mae Tucker, 86, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Ms. Tucker was born in Baltimore, MD on May 17, 1930 to the late Sam and Mary Harris Tucker. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County school system and was a member of Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Ms. Tucker was formerly employed by Mecklenburg Cooperative and was a housekeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Fitcher, Alex and Leonard Tucker. Cherishing her memories are one brother, Woodrow Tucker of Chase City, VA; two sisters-in-law, Estelle Tucker of Chase City, VA and Adline Tucker of San Diego, CA; an uncle, Ethan Smith of Saxe, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Creola Mae Tucker will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Family Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
