Coretta Ivy Lockley

Mrs. Coretta Ivy Lockley, 53, of Henderson, NC entered eternal rest on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Mrs. Lockley was born November 9, 1968 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Irvin Holloway and Catherine T. Jones. She was a 1987 graduate of Vance Senior High School in Henderson, NC, and a member of St. John Baptist Church in Buffalo Junction, VA. Mrs. Lockley was a former CNA at Wake Medical Center, and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lockley was preceded in death by her devoted step-father, Moses Jones, Jr.; sister, Felice C. Terry, two aunts, Tursey Boswell and Clara Lee, and an uncle, John (J. W.) Holloway.

Cherishing her memories are her husband, Herman M. Lockley of Henderson, NC; godfather, Accia Terry, Jr. and godmother, Mable Terry both of Clarksville, VA; devoted son, Darren Terry of Creedmoor, NC; step-daughter, Alize Lockley of Henderson, NC; sister, La’Wanda Brandon (Corey) of Creedmoor, NC; five aunts, Leonia Roberts of Oxford, NC, Laureen Burton of Henderson, NC, Teresa Bullock (Barry) of Oxford, NC, Mary A. Lewis (Victor) of Clarksville, VA and Marcella Terry of Oxford, NC; seven uncles,  James (Jenny) of Fort Washington, MD, Chester Terry (Latrice) of Columbia, SC, Accia Terry, Jr. (Mable) of Clarksville, VA, Earl Terry (Rose) of Buffalo Junction, VA, Michael Terry (Mozell) of Oxford, NC, Melvin Terry (Cynthia) of Boydton, VA, and James M. Jones (Patricia) of Henderson, NC, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service for Mrs. Coretta Ivy Lockley will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at St. John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Earl Terry delivering the eulogy.
