Cordell Tyree Hayes

Mr. Cordell Tyree Hayes, 31, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Mr. Hayes, affectionately known as “Boogie”, was born in South Boston, VA on January 20, 1991 to Cornell Hayes and Thelma Oliver. He attended Bluestone High School in Skipwith, VA, and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Chase City. Mr. Hayes was a laborer, working various jobs. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, and lending a helping hand to family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his parents, Cornell Hayes and Thelma Oliver (Carlton) both of Chase City, VA; two sisters; maternal grandmother, Mary Oliver and paternal grandmother, Edith Hayes both of Chase City, VA; four nieces, one nephew, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Cordell Tyree Hayes will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Pastor Duane Oliver, officiating. Casual attire is requested by the family.
