Connie Puryear Skipwith

Mrs. Connie Denise Skipwith, 31, of South Charleston, WV, and formerly of Buffalo Junction, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. Mrs. Skipwith was born in Halifax County to Cecil and the late Sallie Fuller Puryear October 24, 1979.  She was educated in the Mecklenburg county school and was a member of Wharton Memorial Baptist Church.   She later married Steven Skipwith and moved to West Virginia in 2003. Connie enjoyed being on her laptop, texting, and talking on the phone. Mrs. Skipwith was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Fuller Puryear. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Steven Skipwith, Charleston, WV; a stepdaughter, Chaundra Lopez; her  father, Cecil Puryear Sr. of Buffalo Jct.; two sisters, Spring Puryear and Olivia Puryear ; one brother, Cecil Puryear Jr. all of Clarksville; two nephews, Jaquan Puryear and Kamari Puryear; a niece, Shakira Puryear; six aunts, Ann Pamplin and Midget Fuller,  both of Chase City, VA, Mary Fuller, East Orange, NJ, Shirley Coleman and Diane Puryear of Clarksville, VA, Patricia Nelson, Durham, NC;  four uncles, Kirk Fuller of Ft. Mitchell, VA, Steve Puryear, James Puryear and Joe Puryear, all of Clarksville, her mother in law, Annie F. Jenkins, and brothers-in-law, Barry and Gerald Skipwith.   Funeral services for Mrs. Connie Puryear Skipwith will be conducted 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Wharton Memorial Baptist Church, Nelson, VA with Rev. James A. Hudson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Gardens, Nelson, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
