Clyde Aaron Wardrick

Mr. Clyde Aaron Wardrick (Emmett), 63, of Nashville, NC and formerly of Boydton, VA peacefully went to be with his heavenly Father on February 5, 2022 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, NC. Mr. Wardrick was born on March 1, 1958 in Mecklenburg County, VA, the sixth child of the late Elbert and Louise Perry Wardrick. He was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Chase City, VA. He was previously employed by Robert Carter Construction & J.A. Barker Construction for many years. Emmett loved watching westerns, fishing, playing cards especially spades (as it was often suspected that he was cheating), playing checkers and just cutting up with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearline Smith Wardrick, five brothers and one sister. Left to cherish his memories are his two sons; Justin Wardrick (Stacey) of South Hill, VA, and Dewayne Wardrick (Elliot) of Richmond, VA, two grandchildren; Journee and Kei’mari Sinkler of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Anna Deans (Robert) of Nashville, NC, Priscilla Poles (Mike) of Richmond, VA and Esther Wardrick of South Hill, VA; one brother, Carlton Wardrick (Deborah) of La Crosse, VA; three aunts, one uncle, two brothers-in- law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends; to include a special friend, Ernestine Fielder of Richmond, VA. Funeral services with limited seating will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Burial will follow in Easters Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 2 until 6 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, Virginia.
