Clifton O. Boyd

Mr. Clifton O. Boyd, 79, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Stafford Hospital Center, Stafford, VA. Mr. Boyd was born in Mecklenburg County, VA  June 4, 1936 to the late Samuel Boyd and Sarah Crenshaw Boyd Whitehead.  He was a graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mr. Boyd was formerly employed by the Hollinger Corporation as a die press operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings; Martha, Morton, Samuel, Eugene, Helen, Herman and Claudine. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Ruby Leigh Boyd of Chase City, VA; one son, Clifton Orlando Boyd of Newport, OR; two daughters, Dalentina Robertson (Nathaniel) of Newnan, GA and Tiffanye Wesley (Eric) of Stafford, VA; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Jackie Boyd of Washington, DC; one aunt, Mary Haskins; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Clifton O. Boyd will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Ricky A. Lee, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing and family visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Services 11:00 A.M.
