Clifton Lloyd Tisdale

Mr. Clifton Lloyd Tisdale, 80, of Chase City, VA departed this life on July 17, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Tisdale was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on February 15, 1944 to the late Clifton and Mary Hayes Tisdale. He attended West End High School in Skipwith, and gained employment with Hampco and later by Burlington Industries until its closing. He was a fairly simple man with a love for old school/classic cars and trucks.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tisdale was preceded in death by his wife, Laura; and three sisters, Lelia Ruiz, Annette Ocasio, and Cynthia Rosario.

He leaves to cherish his memories three children, Fred Wood, Cheryl Simmons, and Michael Simmons; stepson, Michael Davis (Yvonne) and nephew, Justin Williams (who was reared in the home); grandchildren, Shakira Goode, Shemar Goode and Tiara Davis; two sisters, Veda Branch and Betty Barnes (Willie), and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Clifton Lloyd Tisdale will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M.
