Clemon Rice

Mr. Clemon Rice, 75, of Clarksville, VA died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Mr. Rice was born in Virgilina, VA on June 12, 1945 to the late James and Ann Gillis Rice. At an early age, he relocated to Philadelphia, PA where he received his early education. Mr. Rice was formerly employed by Progress Energy, and was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Clarksville congregation. Mr. Rice had a sweet tooth, and he enjoyed his “snacks” and favorite PBS show, “As Time Goes By”. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rice was preceded in death by three brothers, Marcellous, Garland and Jackie, and a sister, Goldie Rice. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ida Mae Nance Rice of Clarksville, VA; son, Wyndell Rice of Atlanta, GA; eight stepchildren, Lisa Hawkins (Jerry) , Marvin Yeargin, Michael Yeargin, Vernasa Jacobs, Tony Yeargin, and Ronald Yeargin all of Greenville, SC and Daret Yeargin (Tonya) and Dexter Yeargin (Pamela) both of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren to include Jade of Arizona and Jamil in Philadelphia; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
