Mr. Clayton Tyree Hayes, 65, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mr. Hayes was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 29, 1943 to the late Clyde and Ruth Nelson Hayes. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County School System. Cherishing his memories are two sons, Gary B. Hayes (Marilyn) and Cornell Hayes (Thelma) all of Chase City, VA; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Clarence R. Hayes and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Memorial services for Mr. Clayton T. Hayes will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Prophet Harry L. Williams, officiating.
