Clarence Robertson

Mr. Clarence Robertson, 80, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.

Mr. Robertson, fondly known as “Head”, was born in Charlotte County, VA on September 22, 1942 to the late Walter and Helen Allen Robertson. He was a graduate of Central High School in Charlotte Court House, VA. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Robertson was the longtime owner and operator of Heads Barber Shop & Amusements in Chase City, VA. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing pool, and telling stories and joking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Jr., Herman and Harold.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Leola Robertson of Red Oak, VA; two sons, Clarence H. Robertson of Clarksville, VA and Corey O. Robertson of Red Oak, VA; three daughters, Peggy R. Hatcher, Katrina K. Rolfe and Gail Wilson all of Chase City, VA; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, James E. Robertson of Austin, TX; two sisters, Elnora Woodton of Baltimore, MD and Jacqueline McCargo of Drakes Branch, VA, six sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Robertson will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Phillip Staten, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
