Clarence Edward Moore, Sr.

Mr. Clarence Edward Moore, Sr., 75, of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, September 13, 2021 at VCU-MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Moore was born in Richmond, VA on May 3, 1946 to the late John and Luezellia Moore. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was a member of Lands Chapel RZUA Church in Boydton, VA. Mr. Moore was presently employed by VCU as a custodian and was an avid hunter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Moore; and his twin grandchildren, Kadijah and Kadarius Moore; three brothers, Nathan, Robert and John Moore, and one sister, Mary Oliver. He leaves not to mourn his passing, but to cherish his loving memory his wife, Thelma Tucker Moore of Richmond, VA; a son, Clarence Moore, Jr. (Lisa) of South Hill, VA; three daughters, Veronica Moore Gardener of Henderson, NC, Tyissha Brackett of Richmond, VA, and Latasha Burton of South Hill, VA; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Mamie Piercy of East Orange, NJ, Nancy Baskerville, Virgie Jeffers and Fell Jeffers all of Boydton, VA and Evangelist Mable Payne of Henderson, NC; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mr. Clarence Edward Moore, Sr. will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, VA with Rev. Annie Alexander officiating. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A mask is required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
