Clara Bell Townes Mccloud

Mrs. Clara Bell Townes McCloud, 89, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and formerly of Boydton, VA, entered eternal rest Sunday, June19, 2011. Mrs. Clara Bell McCloud was born in Boydton, VA to the late Jessie and Bessie Richardson Towns on August 8, 1921. She was a member of St. Douglas Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.  Years later she moved to South Carolina where she attended Moncks Corner Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.   In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCloud was preceded in death by her first husband Charlie Bowers, her second husband Leroy McCloud, and a son Roy Bowers.    Cherishing her memories are; Charles (Martha) Bowers, Dorothy (Andrew) Grier, and Garland Bowers; Hattie Simmons, Rosa (Bruce) Branch, Charlestina (Robert) Bailey and Rosa Duncan; Adele (Marshall) Moultrie, Shirley (Ernest) Hall, Milton (Louise) Grier, Andrea (Don) Johnson, Janice (Randy) Cheeks, Charles (Deidre) Bowers, Renee (Ralph) Paylor, Jackie Bowers, Charlisa Bowers, Tracey Bowers, and Rodney (Wanda) Bowers; forty great-grandchildren, thirty great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
