Christopher Hasan Russell

Mr. Christopher Hasan Russell, 40, of Dillwyn, VA and formerly of Chase City entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Chase City, VA. Mr. Russell, also known as “Lil Chris”, was born on January 14, 1981in Halifax County, VA to Raymond Goode and Carolyn Russell. He attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools, and later in life, he attended Southside Community College where he received his Advanced Diploma in General Studies. He worked as a Construction Laborer, and was known for his handy work, but always had dreams of becoming an Electrician. Chris was known as a loving and caring man. His bubbly and charming attitude attracted many people to him. He was a big kid at heart as he could be seen playing and making jokes. Chris would always greet others with a smile no matter the odds. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ciera Russell; five children, Arhianna, Deklen, Chrishaun, Christian, and Caderius Russell; mother, Carolyn Russell; father, Raymond Goode; sister; Sophia Blair (Kevin); brother; Anthony Russell; grandmother; Mary Salley, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Christopher Hasan Russell will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Kenyatta Evans conducting the service.
