Mr. Christopher A. Puryear, 63, of Springfield, OH passed away August 14, 2023 at Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Puryear was born January 16, 1960 in Richmond, VA, the son of Edward Franklin Puryear and the late Lucinda Boyd Puryear. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia R. Johnson Puryear; stepson, Antwain Johnson, Sr.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; his father, Edward Franklin Puryear (Mary); brothers, Calvin, Carl, and David Puryear; sister, Cynthia Puryear, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Christopher A. Puryear will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow in the Rawlings Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
