Christine Denise Harris

Ms. Christine Denise Harris, 51, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, March 3, 2025 at her residence.

Ms. Harris was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on November 26, 1973 to the late Ronald Chandler and Carolyn Boyd. She was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA. Ms. Harris was a veteran of the United States Army. She furthered her education at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond where she earned an Associate Business Degree. She was previously employed by Chase City Health & Rehab and was a former retail manager for Quick Stop 4 and Food Lion in Chase City. Christine had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed her pets, walking and was often referred to as the “Walking Lady”. She was a well-known DJ throughout the community.

She leaves to cherish her memory her aunts, Peggy Wilson of Portsmouth, VA and Gloria J. Harris of La Crosse, VA; uncles, Curtis Harris (Phyllis) of Baltimore, MD, Larry Harris (Harriet) of Raleigh, NC, Michael Harris (Gloria) of Brodnax, VA, and Donald Harris of Newport News, VA; two great-aunts, a host of loving cousins and caring friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Christine D. Harris will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 10, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M.
