Miss Charlotte Marie Dailey, 73, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her residence.
Miss Dailey was born in Charlotte County, VA on March 25, 1949 to Ruth Wilson Dailey and the late Benjamin Dailey. She attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA, and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. Miss Dailey was a former sharecropper who enjoyed watching horror movies, the cooking channel and fishing.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Dailey; brother, Roosevelt H. Dailey; sister, Yolanda Dailey; grandson, Kaleb Dailey, and longtime friend, Jesse Reid.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory three daughters, Evelyn Dailey of Chase City, VA, Sylvia Dailey (Chris) of Clover, VA and Ruth Dailey of Clarksville, VA; her mother, Ruth Dailey; thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; eight brothers, Jimmy Dailey Connie of Prospect, VA, Herman Wilson (Sylvia) of Scottsburg, VA, Carnell Wilson (Joanne) of Clarksville, VA, Alexander Wilson (Alender) of Dillwyn, VA, Russell Dailey (Vickie) of Nelson, VA, Anthony Dailey (Bonnie) of South Boston, VA, Stepforn Dailey of Dillwyn, VA and William Wilson of Washington, DC; five sisters, Eyvonne Craddock (Tyree) of Red Oak, VA, Marilyn Dunlap (Quenoth) of Midlothian, VA, Karen Gallimore (Ronald) of Drakes Branch, VA, Andrea Dailey of Red Oak, VA and Mattie Redd of Washington, DC; six sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
A memorial service for Miss Charlotte Marie Dailey will be held at a later date.
