Charlie Morton Brummell, Sr.

Mr. Charlie Morton Brummell, Sr. 73, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday,  January 14, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Mr. Brummell was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 10, 1940 to the late Edgar P. Sr. and Mamie Evans Brummell.  He was a 1958 graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA.  He was a retired electrician from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Country Boys Hunting Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Mary Alice Brummell of Clarksville, VA; five children, Charlie M. Brummell, Jr. (Kathie) of Henderson, NC, Dominic L. Brummell, Sr. (Danielle) of Franklinton, NC, Troy C. Brummell, Sr. of Clarksville, VA, Alice R. Willis (Harold Sr.) of Wake Forest, NC and Chardetta M. Turrentine (Kenneth) of Myrtle Beach, SC; 14 grandchildren; one sister, Annie M. Hill of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, George W. Brummell, Sr. (Watenia) of Clarksville, MD and Lawrence H. Brummell (Marjorie)  of Clarksville, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Morton Brummell, Sr. will be conducted 3:30 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Reginald Davis, officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. at the funeral home.  Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
