Mr. Charlie Louis Edmond, Jr., 53, affectionately known as Chuckie, of Mechanicsville, VA and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, VA. Mr. Edmond was born in South Hill, VA on October 9, 1964 to Rosa E. Powell and the late Charlie Louis Edmond, Sr. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA. Mr. Edmond also studied Music Theory at Virginia State University, where he was a member of Tuba Phi Tuba with the VSU Marching Trojan Band. He was employed as a Distribution Manager at Richmond Times Dispatch in Richmond, VA for over twenty years. He was an avid Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers fan. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Brittany and Sidney; his loving mother, Rosa E. Powell of Boydton; two sisters, Margaret Edmond and Carol Edmond Brown of Richmond, VA; one niece, Holli and one nephew, Stephon; a dear and committed fiancé, Patty Joe Espinal, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Louis Edmond, Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Waverly Brown, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Crutchfield-Davis Family Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
