Charles T. Pulliam, Sr.

Mr. Charles T. Pulliam, Sr., 79, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA.

Mr. Pulliam was born on April 26, 1944, in Boydton, VA, to the late Daniel, Sr. and Estelle Pulliam. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County School System and worked for Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA for over 30 years. Outside of work, you could often find him bushhogging, cutting grass, and sharing fruits and vegetables from his plentiful garden with his neighbors and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Even in illness, his bright smile would often greet family and friends who came to visit at Lawrenceville Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pulliam was preceded in death by three children, two sons both named Charles T. Pulliam, Jr., and daughter, Teressa "Tree" Pulliam; and four brothers, Fred Pulliam, Daniel Pulliam, Jr., Samuel Pulliam and Clarence Pulliam.

He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Laura Davis; son, Timothy Pulliam (Jennifer); seven grandchildren, Cortez Pulliam, Terrence Evans, Sharrek Boyd, Jordan Pulliam, Janiah Pulliam, Myles Davis, and Tyler Pulliam; great-granddaughter, Lilly Jane Pulliam; a bonus grandson who called him “Pop-Pop, Hunter Prophet; two brothers, Thomas Pulliam and Larry Pulliam (Connie); sister, Shirley Pulliam, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles T. Pulliam, Sr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Jacqueline H. Coleman, officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M.
