Charles Lacy

Mr. Charles Lacy, 94, of Virgilina, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. Mr. Lacy was born in Muskogee, OK, February 4, 1920 to the late Alvin James and Dicey Sandler Lacy. He was a retired chef from Hilton Hotel of New York, a WWII Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church, Virgilina, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lacy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lacy on August 5, 2014. He leaves to cherish his memories are one daughter, Henrietta Towe of Virgilina, VA; two sons, Paul Lacy (Ruth) of Sicklerville, NJ and Samuel Lacy (Rosalind) of Virgilina, VA; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Lacy will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Virgilina with Rev. Lorenzo R. Love, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at C.H.
