Channie Bell Watson

Miss Channie Bell Watson, 89, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest  Monday, August 16, 2010 at Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville. Miss Watson was born in Charlotte County, VA on April 16, 1921 to the late John Henry and Eleanor Carden Watson.  She attended Charlotte County schools, and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.  Early in life she moved to Montclair, New Jersey where she was employed as a domestic worker.  Miss Watson loved talking, cooking and cleaning. Miss Channie Bell Watson is survived by three sisters, Millie McCrae (Rev. Curtis) of Bullock, NC, Laura Watson of Red Oak, VA, and Mattie Walton (Wayne) of South Boston, VA; four brothers, Fred Watson and Daniel Watson of Clarksville, John Watson of Red Oak, and Clement Watson of Georgia; one Aunt, Lillie Mayo, a devoted niece Jenetta R. Smith and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Channie Bell Watson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 20, 2010 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with Rev. Curtis Mc Rae officiating.  Burial will follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA.  Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville.
