Chambois O. Roberts

Mr. Chambois O. Roberts, 89 of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Monday, October 26, 2015 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chase City, VA. Mr. Roberts was born in Buffalo Junction, VA July 25, 1926 to the late Robert Lee and Eva Ragland Roberts. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Virgilina, VA. Mr. Roberts was a veteran on the United States Army and a former supervisor for the law dept. at the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Brooklyn, NY. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by six brothers, Stanbury, William, Gilbert, Jerry, Floyd, and Robert L. Roberts, and one granddaughter, Donna Larkins. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Shirley P. Roberts of Boydton, VA; two children, Eva Mae Roberts Love of Bridgeton, NJ and Darryl Kevin Roberts of New York, NY; three grandchildren, Debra Stevenson (Robert) and Ryan and Genesis Roberts; four great grandchildren, Sophia, Jimmy and Angelo Larkins and Alicia Scott; three great-great grandchildren, Jimmy, Jy’Ana and Jim’mya Larkins; two brothers, L. Dennis Roberts (Queen) and Richard Roberts of Washington, DC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Chambois O. Roberts will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, Virgilina, VA. with Rev. Jack Stewart and Rev. Dave Cline conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing and family visitation will be Thursday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.  Service 11:00 A.M.
