Catherine Gayles

Miss Catherine Gayles, 57, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday March 15, 2013 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Miss Gayles was born March 10, 1956  in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Charles and Marjorie Taylor Galyes.  She was a 1975 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was formally employed by Russell Stover Candies and Burlington Industries. Her last place of employment was Global Textiles (Narricot) of South Hill, VA until her health began to fail. Cherishing her memories are one brother, Charles Gayles of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Elizabeth Gayles and Maxine Gayles  of Chase City, VA; one niece, Shanell Gayles (Clarence) of Las Vegas, NV; two great-nieces, Kalea and Sariyah of Las Vegas, NV; a devoted friend, Sterling Lacks of Chase City, VA; three devoted girlfriends, Josephine Bryant, Peggy Hayes and Cheryl Coleman and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Catherine Gayles will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday March 22, 2013 at Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Service 11:00 A.M.
