Catherine Brooks

Miss Catherine Brooks (Piggybank) 47, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Monday October 20, 2008 at her residence.  Miss Brooks was born in Charlotte County, VA August 1, 1961 to the late Garnett Brooks Sr. and Irene Moseley Brooks. She was a 1979 graduate of Randolph Henry High School, Charlotte Court House, VA and a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. Cherishing her memories is one brother, Jack L. Brooks (Celestine) of Red Oak, VA; one aunt, Mrs. Mary A. Brooks of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mary P. Brooks and Esther Brooks both of Red Oak, VA, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews including a devoted niece, Darlene Brooks and a special friend Jackie McCargo of Drakes Branch, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Miss Catherine Brooks will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Prophet Harry L. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St. Chase City, VA.
