Carrie Mae Hester

Mrs. Carrie Mae Hester, 99, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Hester was born in Asheville, NC July 19, 1914 to the late Benjamin Boozier and Josephine Jackson Boozier. She was a retiree of Jonbil, Inc. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Grady Hester, Sr. and two daughters, Margaret Snow and Helen Adams. Cherishing her memories are one son, Grady Hester, Jr. of Chase City, VA; eleven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. with Rev. George Wilson, officiaiting. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Services 2:00 P.M.
