Carol Evans, Jr.

Mr. Carol Evans, Jr., 63, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

Mr. Evans, affectionately known as “Bruh”, was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on December 1, 1960 to Rosa Evans and the late Carol Evans, Sr. He was a 1979 graduate of Bluestone High School in Skipwith, and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Boydton. Later in life, Mr. Evans relocated to Kentucky where he held several jobs before relocating back to Virginia. He loved motorcycles and refereeing games. He also enjoyed playing cards, fishing, music, and was a diehard Carolina Panthers and Tar Heels fan.

In addition to his father, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his grandmothers, six uncles, and three aunts.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his son, Carol Raphael Evans; daughter, Amber Williams; two grandchildren, Korey and Cali Marie; his mother, Rosa Mae Evans; three sisters, Tracy (Reggie Duncan, Sr.), Carolyn (Dwight), and Joan Barnes; three brothers, Orlando Manzelle (Diane), Calvin Oliver, and Robert Oliver; a host of nieces and nephews; caregiver, Dorothy Green, a devoted friend, NaNatte DeRosa, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Carol Evans, Jr. will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Elder Kenyatta Evans, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
