Carnell Evans, Sr.

Mr. Carnell Evans Sr., 81, of Glen Allen, VA and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Lexington Rehab and Healthcare, Richmond, VA. Mr. Evans was born in Mecklenburg County, VA November 29, 1937 to the late Charlie Baptist Evans and Fannie Foster Evans. He attended West End High, and was member Greenwood Baptist Church, Boydton, VA. Mr. Evans was a retiree of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carol, William and Charlie Evans and George Baskerville. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Arvella Howell Evans of Glen Allen, VA; two sons, Carnell Evans, Jr. of Boydton, VA and Carlos Evans (Ashley) of Glen Allen, VA; three daughters, Irene Thompson of Laurel, MD, and Tywanna Evans and Tanisha Evans both of Glen Allen, VA; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Baskerville of Chase City, VA; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Carnell Evans, Sr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Tyrone Pulliam officiating. Interment will be private. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
