Mr. Carlton Edward Pulliam, Sr., 60, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. Mr. Pulliam was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on August 17, 1961 to Eleanor L. Boswell Pulliam and the late Powhatan Pulliam, Jr. He was a 1980 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA. Mr. Pulliam was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was formerly employed as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, restoring vehicles, drawing and racing. In addition to his father, Mr. Pulliam was preceded in death by a brother, Powhatan Pulliam, III. He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Carlton E. Pulliam, Jr. of Roanoke, VA, Antwan D. Pulliam of Oklahoma City, OK and Lamar J. Pulliam (Angelica) of Quantico, VA; daughter, Shermir S. Pulliam of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren; his mother, Eleanor L. Biggers of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Steven R. Pulliam of Roanoke, VA and Richard G. Pulliam (Denise) of Richmond, VA; aunt, Joyce Doggette of Chase City, VA; uncle, Robert Tucker of Baltimore, MD; his fiancé, Carlotta Clark, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Mr. Carlton E. Pulliam, Sr. will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Victoria, VA with Rev. William Moore, III officiating. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A mask is required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
