Mr. Calvin Lewis Mosley, 81, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Monday, May 14, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Mosley was born in Charlotte County, VA December 9, 1936 to the late Charlie Lewis Mosley and Mary Mosley Dailey. He attended the public schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA where he served as an Usher, Deacon, Trustee Board member, President of the Male Chorus, and on the Cemetery committee. Mr. Mosley was formerly employed by Jonbil, Inc., retiring after 35 years of service. He later started his own transportation service, Mosley Medical Taxi Transportation Service, which serviced many surrounding communities. Mr. Mosley was a member of Laconia Lodge #208 and T.G. Wilson Chapter 73. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa D. Wood Mosley, and two brothers, Sterling and Earl Mosley. Cherishing his memories are his children, Rev. Carolyn M. Pearson (the late Rev. Kevin), Calvin E. MosIey (Sharon) all of Red Oak, VA, Natalie Mosley of Richmond, VA, and Victoria Mosley of Chase City, VA; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Larry Wood (Alma) of Newport News, VA; three sisters-in-law, Lardeva Cameron and Diana Wood both of Chase City, VA and Janice Christian (Matthew) of Richmond, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Lewis Mosley will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Roger L. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
