Calvin G. Marable, Sr.

Mr. Calvin G. Marable, Sr., 41, affectionately known as “Dirty Bird” of Richmond, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2016 in Richmond. Mr. Marable was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 11, 1974 to Paul B. Sr. and Mattie L. Marable. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County school system and was formerly employed by Butler Lumber Company for many years  and  most recently Microsoft. He also received his certification for masonry. Mr. Marable was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and three siblings, Ricky, Ronnie and Vickie Marable. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Latorya Harris Marable of Lynchburg, VA; two children, Calvin Marable, Jr. and Jaquazai Marable both of Skipwith, VA; his parents, Mattie and Paul Marable, Sr. of Skipwith, VA; three brothers, Paul Marable, Jr. of Roanoke, VA and Mitchell Boyd and Arthur Boyd both of Skipwith, VA; three sisters, Sharon Crawley (Albert) of Skipwith, VA, Delores Marable of Danville, VA and Tracy Crute of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA. Memorial Service At a later date
