Calissa Renee’ Thompson Redd, 36 of Richmond, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, VA. Calissa was born in South Hill, VA Sept. 5, 1969 to Harry Jr. and Mary Ann Tunstall Thompson. She attended Mecklenburg County Schools and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She was a member of the junior, Senior and Young Adult choir and was previously employed with Wal-Mart in Mechanicsville, VA. Cherishing her memories are one son, Shannon Monte’-Redd of Chase City, VA; her parents, Harry Thompson Jr. and Mary Ann Thompson of Chase City, VA.; two brothers, Harry Thompson III and Kevin Darnell Thompson both of Chase City, VA; paternal grandparents, Harry Thompson Sr. and Carrie Lee Thompson of Chase City, VA; Maternal grandmother, Virginia A. Ogburn of Richmond, VA; four aunts, seven uncles and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Calissa Renee Thompson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 10, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Waverly Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 until 8 P.M at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Email condolences to harrisfhc@verizon.net.
