Mr. BW Bacon, 69, of Newark, NJ , formerly of Chase City, VA, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his residence in Newark, NJ. Mr. Bacon was born in Chase City, VA October 10, 1943 to the late Will W. and Fannie R. Bacon.  At an early age he attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, later attending Technology High School, Newark, NJ. He attended First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA and was a Master Mason at the Fulton Street lodge in Newark, NJ.  Mr. Bacon was formerly employed by Will & Sons Trucking Company, American Grocery and MacArthur’s Trucking.  He was retired from Quality Carriers Trucking Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Bacon and two sisters, Mae Willie Watkins and Fannie Olio Thomas. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Mary Frances Bacon; two sons, Robert Bacon and Brian Bacon; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mable Lytle and Ruth Howard; one brother-in-law, JW Howard and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. BW Bacon will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, Virginia with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, Officiating.  Burial will follow in the  Ivy Hill/ Bacon Family Cemetery, Chase City, VA.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Service 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2013 First Baptist Church  Wylliesburg, VA Public Viewing Sunday 1:00 P.M. until service time
