Burnelle Henderson

Mrs. Burnelle Henderson, 95, of Suitland, MD and formerly of Mecklenburg County, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, March 28, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on January 25, 1930 to the late Jack Roberts and Jugurtha Carrington. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA and a graduate of West End High School, Class of 1949. Mrs. Henderson received her nursing certification and worked at area hospitals and was a retiree of Western Electric Telephone Company in Arlington, VA with 55 years of dedicated service. She loved sharing her family history and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Henderson; three brothers, Finance, Ulysses and Clyde Roberts; and four sisters, Gaynell Randolph, Abigail Roberts, Willie Lee Williamson and Loretta Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her four children, Joyce McFail of Richmond, VA, Sandra Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Vincent Henderson of Suitland, MD and Myron Henderson of Accokeek, MD; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Laura Daniels of Clarksville, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Burnelle Henderson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will begin on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at the church.
